A resting electrocardiogram (ECG) is a primary diagnostic tool used to assess the underlying electrical activity of the cardiac muscle. It provides a snapshot of the myocardial rhythm at rest, displaying any deviations in rate. This simple procedure utilizes placing leads on the individual's chest, arms, and legs to record the electrical impulses
